Rotation of the weir provides
adjustment. Clockwise rotation will move the weir downward allowing
greater flow of the surface layer. Counter-clockwise rotation
will move the weir upward resulting in less flow of the surface
layer. The center weir should be set so that water does not flow
into it, approximately 1/8" to 1/4" above the water
surface. If water flows into the hose, it will block the flow
of oil. The water must be removed by pulling up on the skimmer
and emptying the small amount of water in the hose into the storage
tank. Upon routine maintenance of the oil-water separator, inspect
skimmer to make sure it is clear of debris. The detail below shows
a four (4) float floating oil skimmer arrangement.
NOTE:
The addition of this skimmer adds a "FG" to the separator
model classification: FGOWS, PFGOWS, FGCO, PFGCO
