McTighe Industries
cylindrical units can be saddle or skid mounted for installing the
oil-water separators above grade or below grade in a vault. Above
ground separators are designed in accordance with UL-142 construction
criteria. Customer must make sure separator is protected from freezing
if such conditions can occur. This includes piping, pumps, and other
accessories if so equipped. Contact McTighe if your above grade
application requires the use of pumps upstream from the separator.
A.
Saddle Mounting
Saddles are either welded to the
tank or can be strapped to the tank for special applications.
The bottom of the saddle is equipped with bolt holes that make
it ideal for anchoring to a concrete pad. Standard saddle heights
provide a 9" ground clearance, however, we can design framework
for higher or lower elevations.
B.
Skid Mounting
The McTighe oil-water separator
on skids is designed for installations that require frequent movement
of the separator. The skids are designed for the size and weight
of the vessel and are generally composed of either pipe, rectangular
tubing, or I-beam runners attached to separator saddles.
