Some McTighe competitors claim that each of their separators will work on an "across the board" retention time. They do not take into consideration the separator length, separator width, coalescer arrangement and location. This is because many of our competitors are tank companies first and separator companies second. Many enter the business without full understanding of key principles involved in oil-water separation.

Cylindrical Designs -- Section 2

Rectangular Designs -- Section 3

The cylindrical separators are used for direct burial or above grade installation applications. Nominal flowrates range from 40 to 5000 gpm.

The rectangular separators are used for above grade or vault installation applications. Nominal flowrates range from 10 to 150 gpm.
